13 edizioni di spettacolo, storia, passione e divertimento. 13 edizioni in cui il Rally Club Valpantena si è messo in gioco per organizzare un evento che è ancora in grado di richiamare appassionati da tutta Europa, con auto pazzesche e strade magnifiche. E noi, per il terzo anno consecutivo, siamo partiti alla volta della Lessinia per potervi raccontare con le nostre immagini quello che è uno dei rally storici più belli d’Italia. Il Rally Revival Valpantena.

13 editions of pure show, history, passion and fun. 13 editions on which the Rally Club Valpantena puts itself at stake to organize an event that is still able to attract enthusiasts from all over Europe, with crazy cars and gorgeous roads. And, for the third year in a row, we left for the Lessinia to tell you with our images what is one of the most beautiful historic rallies in Italy. The Rally Revival Valpantena.

Pare assurdo trovarsi a Novembre in t-shirt sotto a un caldo sole ma questa volta siamo stati tutti fortunati e non abbiamo dovuto tirare fuori vestiti pesanti e coperture per la pioggia come lo scorso anno.

It seems crazy to find ourself in November,with just a t-shirt on and under a hot sun, but this time we got lucky and we didn’t have to get out our warm clothes and the rain covers like last year.

E le temperature miti hanno anche reso i pochi km di fondo sterrato bello asciutto, facendo così alzare spettacolari nubi di polvere alle auto.

And the warm temperatures has also kept dry the few kms of gravel, so the cars were leaving spectacular dust clouds behind them.

Praticamente ci siamo sentiti immersi negli anni d’oro del rallysmo ogni volta che una macchina usciva di traverso dalle curve, riempiendoci di polvere e sparandoci ghiaia addosso. No, non siamo masochisti, siamo solo degli inguaribili petrolheads.

We basically felt like if we were in the middle of the golden age of rallying every time that a car was coming out of a corner in full opposite lock, covering us with dust and shooting gravel to out back. No, we are not masochists, we are just hopeless petrolheads.

Come in tutte le edizioni gli iscritti erano ben oltre 200, un numero davvero elevato di vetture che comprendeva le più potenti ed iconiche Gruppo B

Just like in every edition, the entrants were well over 200, a very high number of cars which included the most powerful and iconic Group B machines

e le più piccole A112.

And the more modest A112.

A proposito di iscritti, tra gli equipaggi al via anche Norbert Henglein e Walter Zuckermeier al volante di una splendida e ricca di storia Lancia 037 ex Attilio Bettega, tra l’altro vincitori tra gli stranieri.

Talking about the entrants, amongst the crews at the start also Norbert Henglein and Walter Zuckermeier, behind the wheel of a beautiful and rich of history ex Attilio Bettega Lancia 037, and they also concluded the rally as winners amongst the foreign crews.

Scenari veramente suggestivi hanno fatto da contorno al rally. Le condizioni meteo perfette e i colori autunnali hanno reso splendidi i passaggi delle auto,

Incredibly suggestive sceneries were the perfect surrounding for the rally. The perfect weather conditions and the autumn colours made each transition of the cars absolutely beautiful,

specie quando spingevano sull’acceleratore!

especially when they were pushing hard on the throttle!

L’arrivo della notte è sempre suggestivo, il cielo che si dipinge di blu, i fari che illuminano la strada e il sound dei motori che squarciano il silenzio della valle. Il prezzo del biglietto? Gratuito.

It’s always suggestive when the night falls, the sky becomes blue, the headlights enlighten the road and the sound of the engines that rip the silence of the valley. Ticket price? Free.

Naturalmente, dopo aver sfruttato fino all’ultimo briciolo di luce naturale, ci siamo presi qualche minuto per goderci anche noi lo spettacolo della notte.

Of course, after taking the best out of the available light, we took a few moments to enjoy ourselves the magic of the night.

Il riordino mattutino del Sabato alle Cantine Bertani ci da modo di dare una sbirciata veloce alle “bestie” mentre si riposano

The morning park fermè of Saturday at the Cantine Bertani gives us the chance to give a quick peek at the resting “beasts”

ma presto ci dirigiamo sulle montagne e nell’attesa delle prime auto, facciamo amicizia con degli “spettatori” piuttosto curiosi.

But we soon head towards the mountains and while waiting for the first cars, we get friends with some rather curious “spectators”.

Vediamo le macchine salire lungo la stretta strada,

We can see the cars coming un the narrow road,

attraverso il bosco,

through the woods,

e poco dopo veniamo travolti dal sound dei motori che ruggiscono a pochi centimetri da noi.

and after a few moments we are overwhelmed by the sound of the engines, roaring just few centimeters away from us.

Non smetteremo mai di dirlo, i rally hanno un fascino tutto loro. La prossimità all’azione e gli scenari spettacolari e sempre differenti tra di loro rendono unico questo sport.

We will never stop to say it, rallies have their own charme. The proximity to the action and the stunning and always different sceneries make this sport absolutely unique.

Basta spostarsi di un centinaio di metri per trovarsi in ambientazioni totalmente diverse

Just move a few hundreds meters to find yourself in a totally different environment

e ogni volta è un’emozione a sé stante.

And every time is a different emotion.

A vincere il 13° Revival Valpantena, che ricordiamo essere una gara di regolarità, l’equipaggio formato da Maurizio Senna e Lorena Zaffani, a bordo di una BMW 2002 Tii della Scaligera Rallye

ma cosa non meno importante, il fatto che a vincere di nuovo sono stati gli organizzatori del Rally Club Valpantena. Un altro anno da incorniciare, un altro rally che appena concluso già ci fa pensare all’edizione 2016.

but not less important, the fact that to win again were the organizers of the Rally Club Valpantena. Another year to be framed, another rally which is just over and yet makes us already thinking about the 2016 edition.
