L’Italia è in un momento difficile. Lo sappiamo tutti noi e lo sanno tutti quanti. Ci sono però le cose belle, le cose che ti strappano un sorriso, che ti fanno trascorrere una giornata felice. E per degli appassionati di motori la Vernasca Silver Flag è sicuramente una di quelle cose.

Italy is in a difficult time. We all know it and everybody knows it. There are beautiful things though, things that give you a smile, that make you spend a happy day. E for some gearheads the Vernasca Silver Flag is definitely one of those things.

Organizzato come sempre in maniera impeccabile, per la Ventesima edizione il CPAE ha voluto proprio celebrare le belle cose del nostro Paese, l’eccellenza del nostro Paese, di quando ancora eravamo rispettati e ammirati dal resto del mondo.

Organized as always in an impeccable manner, for the Twentieth edition the CPAE just wanted to celebrate the beautiful things of our Country, the excellence of our Country, of times when we were still respected and admired by the rest of the world.

La selezione di vetture dei migliori marchi dell’automobilismo è di quelle che lasciano senza fiato. The selection of cars of the best auto motive brands is absolutely breathtaking. Come di consueto alla Silver Flag, gli organizzatori riservano parte dell’elenco iscritti ad auto “fuori tema” ma che hanno comunque un’importanza storica che non può passare in secondo piano.

As usual at the Silver Flag, the organizers reserves part of the entry list to “put of theme” cars but that still have an historical relevance which cannot be put on the back burner.

Una delle macchine che più ha fatto scalpore è stata senza dubbio la Sauber C9 Gruppo C. Incredibile vedere questa bestia da 700CV, che in passato ha percorso il rettilineo Mulsanne a quasi 400km/h, salire lungo le tortuose strade dei colli piacentini.

One of the cars which caused a sensation was without doubts the Sauber C9 Group C. Incredible to see this 700bhp beast, that in the past raced on the Musanne Straight at almost 400 km/h, going uphill along the twisty roads of the hills near Piacenza.

Da venti edizioni il CPAE celebra le più belle e importanti auto di sempre ed organizza uno splendido weekend di passione e di motori che riunisce appassionati, curiosi e famiglie intere. Venti edizioni che il Club Piacentino Auto d’Epoca si rinnova, si migliora e da la possibilità a chiunque di respirare odori spesso dimenticati e di ascoltare sinfonie d’altri tempi.

It’s been twenty editions since the CPAE celebrates the most beautiful and significant cars ever made and organizes a delightful weekend of passion and engines which brings together enthusiasts, curious people and entire families. Twenty editions that the Club Piacentino Auto d’Epoca renews itself, makes itself better and gives a chance to everyone to breathe those often forgotten smells and to hear long gone symphonies.

Quest’anno come non mai, con l’EXPO che torna nel nostro Paese dopo tanti anni, vedere alcune tra le migliori auto italiane mai realizzate è stato veramente speciale.

This year as never before, with the EXPO back to our Country after many years, to see some of the best Italian cars ever made was absolutely special.

Il countdown per la 21ma Vernasca Silver Flag è già inziato e sinceramente non vediamo l’ora di scoprire cosa ci riserveranno gli organizzatori nel 2016. Il “Festival of speed” italiano non smette mai di stupire e noi non aspettiamo altro che essere nuovamente stupiti.

The countdown to the 21st Vernasca Silver Flag has already started and to be honest we can’t wait to find out what the organizers will bring to us in 2016. The Italian “Festival of speed” never cease to amaze and we do not expect anything but be amazed again.
