International GT Open 2014 – Less Can Be More

Lo scorso weekend il circuito monzese ha ospitato il consueto penultimo capitolo del Campionato Internazionale GT che contrariamente all’anno scorso, dominato dalle McLaren, ha visto le posizioni a podio conquistate da Ferrari e Corvette.

Per la categoria GTS il primo posto se l’è aggiudicato AF Corse con la sua 458 di Giorgio Roda e Paolo Ruberti, precedendo addirittura una delle Corvette del Super GT.

Gara-2 ha stupito gli spettatori della domenica con un trionfo totale delle Corvette che si sono aggiudicate tutti i gradini del podio Super GT con Miguel Ramos e Nicky Pastorelli che hanno preceduto di pochi decimi i loro compagni di team della V8 Racing e relegando al terzo posto la coppia Hamilton/Tutumlu.

Poco incisiva la partecipazione della Reiter Engineering che quest’anno ha affrontato con un po’ di affanno il passaggio dalle loro famose Lamborghini Gallardo a una poco competitiva, seppur molto bella, Chevrolet Camaro GT3 che il sabato si è dovuta ritirare e la domenica si è riuscita a piazzare solo quinta.
