41st Rally Team ‘971 – Piedmont Specialties

Piemonte, terra del buon vino, del tartufo e… dei rally. Il 41° Rally Team ‘971, che si è svolto sulle bellissime e tecniche Prove Speciali tra Chieri e Asti, è stato un piacevole evento, ricco di auto e di piloti spregiudicati che hanno esaltato il pubblico presente a bordo strada.

The Piedmont, land of good wine, of the truffle and… of rallies. The 41st Rally Team ‘971, which took place in the wonderful and technical Special Stages between Chieri and Asti, has been a pleasant event, rich of cars and ruthless drivers who have enthralled the public on the roadside.

Arrivati all’alba a Villanova, assistiamo alla PS1 su un breve tratto sterrato, con la foschia del mattino e i primi raggi luce che attraversano gli alberi del bosco.

Arrived during the sunrise at Villanova, we witness the SS1 on a short part of gravel road, with the morning mist and the first rays of lights that go through the trees of the wood.

Le auto della categoria S2000 si sentono arrivare da lontano, con il loro motore aspirato tirato fino al limitatore. E’ sempre bello tornare nella natura ad assistere a un rally, le auto che ti sfrecciano accanto ti danno una scarica di adrenalina come poche altre forme di motorsport possono fare.

One can hear the S2000 category cars arriving from distance, with their NA engine pushed till the rev limiter. It’s always nice to go back into the nature to see a rally, the cars the fly by next to you give you an adrenaline rush that very few other forms of motorsport can give.

Le PS successive iniziano a mietere le prime vittime, costringendo al ritiro molti degli equipaggi aspiranti al podio e mettendo ancora di più in evidenza le abilità dei piloti di testa, incluso il duo Trolese-Ghietti, al debutto con la nuovissima Peugeot 208 T16.

The next Special Stages begin to reap the first victims, forcing to retire many of the crews that were aspiring to the podium and putting even more in evidence the abilities of the top drivers, including the duo Trolese-Ghetti, at their debut with the brand new Peugeot 208 T16.

Con il calare del sole e qualche goccia di pioggia che cade a tratti, il distacco dell’equipaggio vincitore assoluto, Luca Cantamessa- Lisa Bollito su Peugeot 207 S2000 preparata da Balbosca, si fa ancora più grande sugli inseguitori,

With the sun going down and some drops of rain which fall once in a while, the time advantage of the overall winning team, Luca Cantamessa- Lisa Bollito on Peugeot 207 S2000 prepared by Balbosca, becomes even larger on the chasing pack,

mettendosi dietro a ben 1’20.3 il secondo classificato, Patrick Gagliasso, sempre su 207 S2000 e navigato da Dario Beltramo.

Terzi assoluti Mauro Miele e Luca Beltrami. Ciò che rende speciale questo terzo posto è la vettura con la quale hanno raggiunto questo ottimo traguardo. Una splendida BMW M3 E30 preparata dalla Top Rally. Il mitico S14 che cantava nella vallata era assolutamente uno spettacolo per l’udito e ancor di più lo è stato vedere questa macchina spinta al limite con coraggio e determinazione.

Third overall the duo Mauro Miele and Luca Beltrami. What makes this third place special is the cars which they used to achieve this great result. A gorgeous BMW M3 E30, tuned by Top Rally. The mighty S14 engine singing through the valley was absolutely fantastic for the ears and it has been even more good to see this car pushed to its limits with bravery and determination.

Tra le storiche vince Villani con Lalomia su Opel Kadett GTE, che hanno battagliato con la BMW 2002 di Argentieri e Pellegrino, fermati sul finale da un problema elettrico.

Among the historic cars Villani and Lalomia have won on the Opel Kadett GTE and they have battled with the BMW 2002 of Argentieri and Pellegrino, forced to retire in the final stages of the rally for an electrical issue.

La ASD Rally Team Eventi può decisamente ritenersi soddisfatta di questo evento, ricco di spettacolo, pubblico e di iscritti, con questi ultimi messi a dura prova dalle PS tecniche immerse in un bellissimo scenario.

The ASD Rally Team Eventi can definitely be proud of this event, rich of a great show, public and entrants, with these that have been put on a strain by the technical SS, surrounded by a beautiful scenery.
