Hirundo

Sole, auto da corsa e la nostra  lingua di asfalto preferita, la pista. Un modo decisamente squisito di riassaporare quella che si preannuncia essere una stagione di gare con i fiocchi. Purtroppo noi Italiani siamo fortemente penalizzati, tra campionati cancellati, spostati e novità incerte non ce la passiamo di certo bene, ma per fortuna alcuni delle gare più belle dell’anno sono ancora presenti a calendario, ed ecco che durante i test invernali organizzati da Marzi Sport abbiamo visto scendere in pista alcuni tra i protagonisti che tra non molto sbarcheranno a Monza.

Sun, race cars and our favorite stripe of tarmac, the race track. Definitely and exquisite way to have a brief taste of what seems to be a tremendous racing season. Unfortunately we Italians will be heavily penalized, between deleted and moved over championships and uncertain news we are having for sure a hard time, but luckily some of the best races of the year are still in the calendar, and here’s that during the winter testing days organized by Marzi Sport we have seen some of the protagonists that soon will hit the track at the Autodromo di Monza.

 

Uno degli “indagati speciali” è sicuramente il team Reiter Engineering. Il preparatore tedesco ha infatti cambiato dopo diversi anni la sua arma per il campionato Blancpain GT Series (ex Endurance Series), passando dalla collaudata Lamborghini Gallardo alla americanissima Chevrolet Camaro GT3.

One of the “special investigated” is for sure the Reiter Engineering team. The german tuner has in fact changed, after many years, its weapon of choice for the Blancpain GT Series (ex Endurance Series), going from the well tested Lamborghini Gallardo to the very American Chevrolet Camaro GT3.

 

Nera come la pece, lucida come uno specchio e con l’inconfondibile timbro acustico del V8 made in USA, questa nuova Camaro si è dimostrata molto veloce in pista, anche se non è chiaro se stesse girando con il BOP (Balance Of Performance) attivo.

Black as pitch, glossy as a mirror and with the unmistakable sound of the made in USA V8, this new Camaro proved to be very fast on the track, although it’s not very clear if it was testing with the BOP (Balance Of Performance) activated.

Ovviamente non rimane altro che attendere ancora qualche settimana per vedere gli effettivi risultati dei test, quando a Monza sbarcherà il BES per la prima gara di questo incredibile campionato.

Of course there’s nothing more to do than wait another couple of week sto see the effective results of the test, when at Monza the BES  will land for the first race of this amazing championship.

Ci saranno tanti temibili avversari per la Reiter, alcuni dei quali erano anche loro a testare a Monza, come il team belga WRT, che ha schierato una sola Audi R8 ma con due piloti del calibro di Marc Basseng e Yves Weerts.

There will be many formidable opponents for the Reiter, some of which were testing at Monza too, like the Belgian team WRT, that lined up just one Audi R8 but with two great racing drivers like Marc Basseng and Yves Weerts.

Anche quest’anno il W-Racing Team punta in alto e nei test che ci saranno nei prossimi giorni al Paul Ricard siamo certi che si inizierà a delineare il potenziale dell’ormai collaudato lineup di piloti e della macchina aggiornata.

Again this year the W-Racing Team aims high and in the test that will be held in the next days at the Paul Ricard we are sure that we will see the potential of the now proven drivers lineup and of the updated car.

Altra scuderia che corre nel BES e che è scesa in pista a testare, la praticamente neonata TDS Racing, con entrambe le Z4 GT3. A parte l’auto, semplicemente stupenda, i piloti hanno fatto segnare tempi molto interessanti per la categoria PRO-AM a cui sono iscritti in campionato.

Another team that races in the BES was down on the track for some testing, the almost newborn TDS Racing, with both its Z4 GT3s. A part from the car, absolutely beautiful, the drivers have marked some very interesting lap times for the PRO-AM category in which they compete.

e la TDS Racing dovrà dimostrare di essere in grado di avere una macchina sempre affidabile e competitiva, perché non sarà affatto facile contro team esperti come RJN, AF Corse e Black Falcon . Ricordiamo che nel 2013, anno dell’esordio di questo giovane team, si sono messi in luce facendo anche diversi giri in testa alla 24h di Spa, oltre che raccogliendo un paio di podi e la quinta posizione finale in campionato. Sicuramente un team da tenere sott’occhio.

and the TDS Racing will have to prove to be able to have an always reliable and competitive car, because it won’t be easy to race against expert teams like RJN, AF Corse and Black Falcon. We want to remember that in 2013, debut year of this young team, they were highlighted by doing quite a few laps leading the Spa 24h race, a part from doing a couple of podiums and the final 5^th place at the end of the championship. Definitely a team to keep an eye on.

Of course the AF Corse team can’t miss, and as always comes at the test in Monza to do things big. 7 cars lined up among 458s Challenge

e 458 Italia GT3, in preparazione sia per il BES che per il GT Open e, ovviamente, il Ferrari Challenge.

L’ultimo team a testare in previsione dell’imminente inizio del campionato endurance organizzato dalla SRO, la HTP Motorsport, con le due Mercedes SLS GT3. Bern Schnider e compagni hanno accumulato parecchi chilometri nel corso dei due giorni, confermando l’affidabilità della macchina.

The last team testing in anticipation of the imminent start of the endurance championship organized by the SRO, the HTP Motorsport, with the two Mercedes SLSs GT3. Bern Schnider and team mates have done many kilometers during the two days, confirming the reliability of the car.

La stagione delle corse sta per iniziare, tante diverse storie stanno per essere scritte e noi non vediamo l’ora di tornare a vedere delle sane sportellate e tanti sorpassi da pelle d’oca.

The racing season is about to start, many different stories are about to be written and we can’t wait to go back watching some proper fights and many enthralling races.
