La fine di un campionato è sempre una cosa entusiasmante ma quando questo riguarda ben 7 campionati, condensati in un unico weekend, quello che si ottiene è un evento super avvincente! Il Campionato Italiano GT l’ha fatta da padrone con Thomas Biagi e Stefano Colombo al volante della BMW Z4 del team Roal Motorsport, incoronati vincitori del campionato nonostante il ritiro in gara 2 per un principio di incendio.

The end of a championship is always exciting but when you put 7 of them in the same weekend what you got is a super exciting event! The Italian GT Championship has been the main event with Thomas Biagi and Stefano Colombo behind the wheel of Roal Motorsport’s BMW Z4 winning the title despite the retirement in race 2 for the start of a little fire on the car.

e Di Benedetto e Frassineti, con entrambe gli equipaggi a guidare le due Audi R8 LMS della Audi Sport Italia (rispettivamente secondi e quarti in classifica generale).

In gara 1 la bagarre è iniziata fin dal primo giro ed è finita con polemiche e dramma. Dopo una grande rimonta, il duo Malucelli-Passuti sulla Porsche della Antonelli Motorsport si è messo davanti a tutti

In race 1 the bagarre has started since the first lap and it ended with controversies and drama. After a great comeback, the duo Malucelli-Passuti on the Porsche of the Antonelli Motorsport puts itself at the front

 

e a pochi minuti dalla fine della gara il giovane Barri, sulla Porsche tricolore della Ebimotors, ha tamponato Malucelli (il quale ha avuto problemi di pescaggio della benzina) finendo contro le barriere alla curva successiva e lasciando la vittoria a Malucelli. Dopo l’impatto Barri ha continuato la corsa con la macchina vistosamente danneggiata e proprio questa mossa è stata sanzionata dalla direzione gara con la squalifica.

and only a few minutes before the end of the race the young Barri, on the tricolor Porsche of the Ebimotors, rear ended Malucelli (who was having fuel issues) smashing into the barriers at the next turn and leaving the victory to Malucelli. After the impact Barri continued his race with his damaged car and this has been sanctioned by the race directors with a disqualification.

 

Gara 2, dopo diversi colpi di scena a causa di forature di pneumatici e problemi per i top team, è stata dominata dalla Porsche GT3 R di Alessandro Balzan e Giacomo Barri seguiti da Garofano e Rangoni del team Autorlando e Comandini e Lancieri sulla Ferrari 458 Italia della Vita4one.

Race 2, after various twists because of tires punctures and problems for the top teams, has been dominated by the Porsche GT3 R of Alessandro Balzan and Giacomo Barri followed by Garofano and Rangoni of the Autorlando team and Comandini and Lancieri on the Ferrari 458 Italian of the Vita4One.

 

Da sottolineare la presenza di due ladies, l’agguerrita Michela Cerruti (in squadra con Edoardo Liberati) sulla Z4 #34 della Roal Motorsport

e di Alessandra Neri (con Chris Van Der Drift) su McLaren MP4-12C della Bhaitech Racing.

Raffaele Giammaria e Andrea Palma hanno invece condotto l’unica GT2 presente, la Ferrari F430 della Black Team.

Il Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance è stato dominato sia in Gara 1 che in Gara 2 dall’equipaggio del team DTM Motorsport composto da Giancarlo Busnelli e Luigi Moccia sulla loro Seat Leon, in lotta con Andrea Solimè.

The Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance has been dominated in both race 1 and 2 by the duo of the team DTM Motorsport, Giancarlo Busnelli and Luigi Moccia on their Seat Leon, fighting with Andrea Solimè.

 

Degno di nota l’esordio del campione Italiano rally Paolo Andreucci sulla Peugeot RCZ della MC Motortecnica.

Nel Trofeo Abarth Italia ed Europa, Alex Campani ha vinto sia Gara 1 che 2, battagliando con Giacon della Uboldi Corse.

Altro campionato, che come sempre si è confermato emozionante e appassionante, è stato il Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, contraddistinto dall’alto tasso di competitività e adrenalina e dagli spregiudicati piloti che guidavano le loro 911 GT3 con manovre spettacolari, garantendo uno spettacolo quasi unico per un monomarca.

Another championship, that as always has provided an exciting and thrilling show, has been the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, characterized by the high competition and adrenaline and by the crazy drivers that were driving their 911 GT3s with spectacular maneuvers, ensuring a very unique show for a single make championship.

 

Il potentino Postiglione, dopo essersi bruciato un primo posto in gara 1, è riuscito a vincere il titolo 2012 sotto ai suoi tifosi saliti fino a Monza per supportarlo.

The man from Potenza, Postiglione, after having blown away a first place in race 1, has been able to win the 2012 title under the eyes of his fans that came to Monza to support him.

 

Meno potenti ma non meno interessanti sono state le Ginetta G50 dell’omonimo campionato vinto da Matteo Cressoni

Solo le F3 (un po’ poche…) non hanno avuto modo di concludere la loro stagione a causa di reclami che hanno obbligato i commissari a effettuare verifiche prima di decidere.

Only the F3 (just a few…) didn’t have the chance to end their season because of the claims that have obliged the judges to make some inspections before taking the final decision.
