Nuovo anno, stessa sostanza. Anche in questa edizione 2012 dell’International GT Open, a Monza non sono mancati i colpi di scena e le battaglie tra i grandi team. Due gare emozionanti con più di 20 auto in griglia che hanno combattuto fino all’ultimo giro.

New year, same essence. Also in this 2012 edition of the International GT Open, at Monza there have been twists and battles between the big teams. Two enthralling races with more than 20 cars on the starting grid that have fought till the last lap.

La bagarre in gara 1 si è svolta di sabato, dopo un acquazzone che ha bagnato, per non dire inzuppato, il secondo turno di qualifiche.

Il circuito era ancora umido ma le auto sono partite subito a fuoco.

Con i fari accesi come nella notte, le Ferrari GT2 di classe Super GT che partivano in testa al gruppo hanno dovuto cedere il passo dopo poco alla Porsche GT3 RSR del team francese Imsa Performance Matmut guidata da Narat e Pilec, che ha poi dominato il resto della gara

Ma non solo auto GT nel bellissimo weekend di corse. Il Campionato Italiano Prototipi ha visto laurearsi campione 2012 Marco Visconti sulla performante Osella PA21E

L’imprevedibile clima autunnale ci ha regalato delle gare spettacolari nelle più diverse condizioni atmosferiche e come al solito il GT Open si è rivelato per quello che è: un campionato pieno di piloti di qualità con auto fantastiche e tanta sana competizione.

The unpredictable autumn weather gave us the most spectacular races in the most different weather conditions and as usual the GT Open has proved to be for what it is: a championship full of quality drivers with fantastic cars and a lot of healthy competition.
