Blancpain Endurance Series 2013: 60 Cars And A Great Show

Anche quest’anno il Blancpain Endurance Series, giunto alla terza edizione, ha inaugurato la sua stagione presso l’Autodromo Nazionale di Monza e, nonostante l’assenza dell’intensa pioggia che l’Aprile scorso aveva aggiunto suspance alla competizione, si conferma come uno dei campionati più spettacolari in circolazione.

Once again this year the Blancpain Endurance Series, now in its third edition, has opened its season at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza and, despite the absence of the intense rain that last April had added suspance to the competition, it confirms to be one of the most spectacular championships around.

Incredibile anche il numero delle macchine sulla linea di partenza. Ben 60 GT3 hanno preso parte alla gara, dando vita a uno spettacolo degno dei migliori campionati mondiali.

An amazing amount of cars on the grid too. 60 GT3s attended the race, providing a show worth of the world’s best championships.

Dopo tre ore di sorpassi al limite e sportellate, è stata la Ferrari 458 della Kessel Racing condotta da Davide Rigon, Daniele Zampieri e Cesar Ramos a concludere al primo posto,

seguita a poco meno di 20 secondi dalla McLaren MP4-12C dell’equipaggio Leclerc/Parisy/Soucek del team francese ART Grand Prix.

Il podio della categoria PRO è stato infine chiuso a 33 secondi dalla 458 da un’altra McLaren condotta da Caroll/Verdonck/Bell, della Gulf Racing,

che si è sfidata fino all’ultimo metro con una delle auto favorite, l’Audi R8 LMS Ultra di Stippler/Sandstrom/Mies del team belga WRT.

Anche nelle categorie PRO-AM e GENTLEMENS TROPHY a tagliare il traguardo in testa sono state due Ferrari 458, rispettivamente quella della AF Corse condotta da Hommerson/Machiels/Bertolini

Come di consueto le Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 del “Lamborghini Blancpain SuperTrofeo” hanno completato il weekend di gare. Anche loro al primo evento stagionale, gara 1 è stata vinta dallo Svizzero Leimer,

mentre in gara 2 a imporsi sul resto dei piloti è stato il nostro connazionale Andrea Amici.

Come sempre il “BES” ha regalato vere emozioni, tanto spettacolo e, fortunatamente, una lista sempre in aumento di partecipanti. Dispiace solo che ora bisogna aspettare altri 12 mesi per assistere nuovamente al Blancpain Endurance Series sul suolo Italiano.

As always the “BES” gave great emotions, a big show and, luckily, an even bigger entry list. It’s just a real pity that now we have to wait 12 more months to be able to see again the Blancpain Endurance Series on the Italian soil.
